AFP REFEREE WORKSHOP (Session 2)

REFEREE TRAINING AND GAME MANAGEMENT (20 pax per class)

Objective: This course provides a comprehensive framework for training individuals to become competent pickleball referees, emphasizing not only the understanding of rules and mechanics but also the importance of fair play, sportsmanship, and continuous improvement.

This course will also provide an understanding of how to oversee the progression of the tournament, as well as the roles and responsibilities of referees in maintaining its smooth operation, including managing the flow of individual games.

There will be a pre-reading and online test for you to attempt. You should also be familiar with the rule book. We will practice officiating skills through mock matches and simulations.

Upon completion, every participant will be issued a certificate of attendance by the Asia Federation of Pickleball (AFP).
